First Friday Thieves is back for 2026, and it’s one of our favorite ways to drink whiskey at Downslope.
Held on the first Friday of each month (February–April), this intimate barrel room tasting runs from 7:00–8:30 PM and gives you rare access to what’s happening inside our barrel room right now.
Here’s the fun part: you don’t just taste from the barrels, you pull your own thief straight from the casks. Yes, really.
You’ll sample five unreleased Downslope whiskeys at cask strength, drawn directly from the barrels they’re aging in, before anyone else gets a sip.
Along the way, we’ll talk through what you’re tasting, how different barrels evolve over time, and how we decide when a whiskey is ready to be bottled. This is a curiosity-driven experience. Ask questions, take notes, or just enjoy the pour.
