Agave Reposado

Agave tequilana Weber, commonly called blue agave (agave azul) or tequila agave, is an agave plant that is an important economic product of Jalisco, Mexico, due to its role as the base ingredient of tequila. Tequila is a regional term, so when it is distilled in the United States it is called agave spirits. Downslope premium agave spirits is handcrafted using 100% blue agave from Mexico. By fermenting and distilling in small batches, we are left with a product similar to tequila but with a notably smoother and sweeter flavor. Our signature reposado agave spirit is aged for 3-6 months in used
whiskey casks. Reminiscent of our Blanco with enhanced notes of vanilla and coconut.

Tasting Notes 

Color: Copper
Aroma: Mellow and light agave with hints caramel and honey
Taste: Very smooth and slight sweetness at first taste with hints of oak wood, roasted agave and vanilla tones.
Finish: Complex fruit and wood undertones with a lingering honey/vanilla flavor
