Bold, complex, and just a little unexpected—this limited-release Cask Strength Bourbon is a true expression of the Downslope spirit. Made with Colorado-grown corn from our friends at Whiskey Sisters Supply, this bourbon starts with local roots and finishes with high-country flair.

After aging, it rests in freshly emptied apple wine casks from Purgatory Wine Cellars, picking up a crisp, orchard-kissed character that plays beautifully with its deep, oak-driven backbone.

Bottled at 52.4% ALC/VOL, this whiskey is rich, fruit-forward, and packed with personality—designed for drinkers who crave intensity, complexity, and a pour that speaks for itself.

Tasting Notes

Nose:
Warm caramel, toasted oak, and vanilla layered with the bright, inviting aroma of baked apple and cinnamon.

Palate:
Robust and full-bodied. Notes of spiced caramel, honeyed grain, and ripe red apple meets subtle hints of cider and charred sugar.

Finish:
Long, warming, and satisfying—apple skin, baking spice, and a soft tannin finish from the apple wine cask.
